Job Description

(Paterson B4 Band)   
Remuneration & Benefits:   Minimum: N$ 200,254.00 
Market related salary package, Council cover 85% of Medical Aid contribution, Council contribute 21.7% of basic salary toward staff’s Pension Fund, Council pays 22% of basic salary as Housing Allowance / 42% of basic salary as Housing Subsidy, Transport allowance of N$1,300.00pm, 13th Cheque, 35 m3 free water per month and 20 working days leave per annum and 8 leave days gratuity bonus

Main purpose of the job:
  •  Supervise, 
  • advise and control all the maintenance of Parks and Gardens throughout the town of Swakopmund; 
  • and Inform staff on new planned projects.   
Key performance areas:

The successful candidate will be responsible to execute the following duties:
 1.       Maintain the parks and gardens
 2.       Control materials, tools and equipment
 3.       Execute garden plans and designs
 4.       Transport duties
 5.       Procurements activities
 6.       Supervision/ Leadership
 7.       Occupational health and Safety Management (OHSM)


Job Requirement

Minimum Requirements: Applicants should have a   ·        
  •  Grade 12 Certificate ·         
  •   One year Certificate in Landscaping/Horticulture ·       
  •   Three (3) years horticulture and/or landscaping experience; of which one (1) year should be at supervisory capacity. ·         
  •   Code BE driver’s license (Valid).
